Old Uzbekistani household decoration called saye gosha.  Natural vegetable dyes are used and will bleed if they get wet.  These hand-embroidered pieces are used to drape over folded linens, pillows or other household items when stored.  This one has a very worn floral pattern embroidered on a faded background fabric. Woolly black crochet fringe underneath.

Measured along the top edge, the arms are about 25 inches long for a total of about 50 inches.  Bottom woolly fringe can be removed to use separately and measures about 54 inches along its top edge.  Embroidery is about 4 inches across. Measurement of fringe including crochet band is approximately 4 inches hanging.
