Round Iron etched pendants from Nepal.

Nepali round iron pendants.  Etched design.  3 inches across.  I was told these are iron pendants, but they could be mixed metals because they are not super heavy, although there are some minor rusted places on them (could be cleaned up a bit with metal cleaner, or rust remover).  These are very different than other peices I have seen from Nepal and I was quite intrigued by them.  Would make lovely belt adorments.

Price listed is for ONE pendant.

Nepal is the crossroads of many cultures.  Parts of northern Nepal were intertwined with the culture of Tibet. The centrally located Kathmandu Valley is intertwined with the culture of Indo-Aryans. The Himalayan branch of the ancient Silk Road was dominated by the valley's traders. The cosmopolitan region developed distinct traditional art and architecture.  Even though Nepal is geographically rather small, there are over 40 different tribal peoples living there.
