Large old Taguemout egg bead from the Moroccan Western Anti-Atlas region. These eye-catching beads are usually found as the focal point on necklaces and fibula chains. Traditional yellow, green and orange enamel. This bead is hollow and about 2 inches across the long width and almost 1.5 inches across the shorter width. Please see photo of bead being held in hand for an idea of size. Coins with glass jewels hang about 2.5 inches below the egg. Hole for stringing is 1/8 inch across. Add a bit of North Africa to your collection!
