Pair of large hoop earrings with dangles from Kashmir. Nice raised design on the fronts, with a blue jewel accent. 5 inches from top of ear wire to bottom of dangles, about 3.25 inches wide. These are quite heavy. They would probably work best attached to a headpiece or worn through tunnels. These are large and showy and will certainly be noticed on stage.
These earrings are old, tribally used pieces. If you will be wearing these in piercings without the protection of tunnels, please make sure the wires are clean before wearing.
The Kashmir is a region of the northwestern India. It is bounded by the Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang to the northeast and the Tibet Autonomous Region to the east (both parts of China), by the Indian states of Himachal-Pradesh and Punjab to the south, by Pakistan to the west, and by Afghanistan to the northwest and it's jewelry reflects the influences of all of these areas while still retaining it's own unique jewelry traditions.
