I am usually in the office daily during the week during posted hours.  There will be times when I need to leave the office for various reasons. There are also times when I will be out of town vending at shows or workshops that may make it impossible for me to be in the office during posted office hours.

If you call during office hours and get voicemail, please leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I can.  Please note that I am on US Central Time and make allowances for time differences if any.

RETAIL APPOINTMENTS

Visiting The Red Camel office is by APPOINTMENT only.  That being said, I am very flexible on appointment times.

Since I do not have a retail store I don't keep set "store" hours, but I do encourage my customers to stop by the office if they live in or are traveling through the St. Louis area.  Please call in advance to set up a mutually convenient time to meet at the office so I can be sure that I am at the office when you arrive and so you can see all the wonderful tribal goodies that are in stock.  There is no set time frame to call in advance. If you call and we are both available, five minutes is enough notice. 

Please be aware that my office IS NOT CHILDPROOF.  There are many items in my office and my inventory that can be swallowed, can cut small fingers and otherwise harm, or be harmed by, your child.  Visits without your child are encouraged. 

Since I live very close to my office, appointments can be made for any day and reasonable time as long as I am available - i.e., not out of town, otherwise engaged, etc.

 

DIRECTIONS TO THE RED CAMEL OFFICE:

There is currently no outside sign for The Red Camel.  The Red Camel is located on the north side of Big Bend between Murdoch and Laclede Station Road in the same building as Reading and Mathematics Solutions across from an apartment complex.  IF I KNOW IN ADVANCE THAT YOU WILL BE ARRIVING, THERE WILL BE A PICTURE OF A RED CAMEL IN THE WINDOW.  You can park in the lot between my building and the building next door.

From I-170: Take I-170 south to Eager Road east (left). Take Eager Road to Hanley, turn right (south) on Hanley. Take Hanley (changes into Laclede Station) to Big Bend Boulevard. Turn right on Big Bend. 7961 Big Bend will be on your right side at the top of a small rise BEFORE you come to the first stop sign. It's only one or two blocks down on Big Bend Blvd. If you get to the stop sign at Murdoch, you've gone too far.

From I-40/64: Take I-40 to Hanley Road exit. Go south on Hanley. Take Hanley (changes into Laclede Station) to Big Bend Boulevard. Turn right on Big Bend. 7961 Big Bend will be on the right side at the top of a small rise BEFORE you come to the first stop sign. It's only one or two blocks down on Big Bend Blvd. If you get to the stop sign at Murdoch, you've gone too far.

From southwest county on I-44: Take I-44 east to the Laclede Station exit. At end of exit bear right onto Laclede Station. Stay in the right hand lane and turn right again on Murdoch (cross back over the highway). At the end of Murdoch, turn right on to Big Bend Blvd. 7961 Big Bend will be on the left side, only a short distance down across from an apartment complex. If you get to the stop light at Laclede Station Road, you've gone too far.

From Illinois/downtown on I-44: Take I-44 west to the Shrewsbury exit. At the end of the exit bear right onto Shrewsbury. Take Shrewsbury to Murdoch, turn right onto Murdoch, you will need to go through a couple of stop lights and cross back over the highway.  At the end of Murdoch, turn right on to Big Bend Blvd. 7961 Big Bend will be on the left side, only a short distance down Big Bend across from an apartment complex. If you get to the stop light at Laclede Station Road, you've gone too far.
