This amazing handmade piece is built on a fabric base, with a circular band running around the head like a headband, and another running front to back across the top of the head.  It fits a bit like a cap.  Entire piece measures about 20 inches around.  Front of band is about 2.75 inches wide and center pendant is 3 inches from top to bottom.   The brassy metal pendants/plaques are quite pretty with small jewels and dangles along the bottom edges.  The back of this piece shows a lot of the original tribal wear and is not clean.  I've shown the back in the photos on this page.  Authentic tribal headpiece from Balochistan.

The Baloch or Baluch are a people who live mainly in the Balochistan region of the southeastern-most edge of the Iranian plateau in Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan, as well as in the Arabian Peninsula.
