Traditional Turkoman Ersari 2-row bilezik style design

Vintage cuffs from mid 20th century.  Handcrafted with banding, stampings and wirework.  Traditional design has 'teeth' in the back.  As currently sized, the total inner circumference of these cuffs (including opening at the back)  measures about 6.75 to 7 inches.  They are slightly tapered for a more comfortable fit.  These can be adjusted slightly to fit a larger or smaller wrist.  Adjustment will take a somewhat strong hand, the metal is not extremely pliable.  About 3.5 inches long.  Mixed metals are polished to a pretty shine.  Glass jewels are a red-orange color.

Overall in good condition.  This item is a PAIR of Turkoman cuffs for the listed price.

Turkomen tribes live in the modern countries of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Turkey.  The Ersari are a subgroup of the Turkmen.  The Turkomen, or Turkmen, were traditionally pastoral nomads who lived in encampments, raised livestock, bred horses, and occasionally plundered settled areas.  Turkmen silver jewelry carries deep symbolic meanings and often marks an individual’s passage from one stage of life to another. Turkmen jewelry is often large and heavy.
